“There are still many women who live in tents on the banks of the Mekong river where water is scarce,” I asked. “There are many women who live in tents on the banks of an isolated river in the state of Kampala. They have just been living in fear for the lack of water.”
“There is some kind of law, including an ordinance that is supposed to protect young women. If they don’t show up, or there is no protection from the law, there will be a problem of getting a lawyer. It’s not just one person. There are others too, some with an old family. It requires a long and complicated legal system, especially for a youth community.”
Another person said. “They live in an isolated section in Kampala. That’s their right and that is not going away. They work for the government, who protect them and serve them. When they are at risk for eviction, those who live there can go to jail. We also have that in our legal system and we have lawyers who have the power to make decisions for protection of the elderly.”
I asked if our rights are always taken seriously. “It’s very important that women are not protected. There are women who live in tents. We are women who have their lives in fear. It’s hard enough working in such a dangerous environment to have one dream.” –N

The housing authority says the houses will be sold as they become operational.
According to a website, these companies also sell the houses under private ownership.
It says the owners will get their investment funds in their home, and the owner will buy them for 20 to 30 euro in value by January 2013.
But there will be some concerns about the house-buying and the security provisions.
The homes were purchased by a group of foreigners who also own a villa, along with four other properties.
They are currently occupying the two villas and are renting them for 15 to 20 euro in value.
They also are renting them through their landlord’s company.
The real estate agent contacted by the government says that in Uganda there is only one place that this real estate could be rented to – the city of Mambaburi.
The properties have many characteristics. Houses & Apartments For Rent in Uganda
